We had a freak thunderstorm come through Thursday evening. It tore down this tree on our street and crushed the hood and windshield of the car underneath. We were parked right behind this unfortunate vehicle. Though branches were strewn all about our car, we were able to move them and manuever our car from this parking spot to a different, safer spot. Whew.
We're feeling very grateful that our only vehicle is still in one piece. If it had been severely damaged/totaled I probably would have curled up in fetal position and cried for days.
